Silver Lining About A Volcano Eruption
While I don’t wish bad on anybody, I’m happy the volcano eruption in Iceland has kept my youth ministry friend, Soeren, here from Germany for a few more days. He served as an intern for our High School Ministry at Saddleback Church several years ago. Since then, he returns twice a year for a few weeks each time. Yesterday his flight was canceled because of the volcanic ash. I’m not sure his Tuesday flight will actually happen either. Soeren’s girlfriend who’s waiting for him to come back isn’t as happy for the delay as I am, though.
Soeren not only serves as a youth pastor in Germany, but also owns the German version of Purpose Driven Youth Ministry Resources. He translates youth ministry resources into German. Soeren’s making a great contribution to youth ministry in Germany.
