Rough Night, Good Year Ahead
Yikes! Tonight was a rough night of teaching small group. Many of the students are new to the group and are not used to the culture of small group Bible study. I had to come down on them pretty hard a couple of time tonight for foul language, hitting each other, side conversations while somebody was sharing, etc. I ended the group telling them that was the worst group we would have all year because that’s not the kind of group I run.
What I am excited about is how much potential my guys have. I love the transformation that can take place this year. I’m excited to take the challenge of working with difficult students. I’m positive I’ll have more difficult nights. However, I’m confident I will learn a lot this year as I get this group running healthy and growing spiritually.
