VolunteerYouthMinistry.com Is On The Move
Last night I started the process of moving my blog. YIKES! I use WordPress.com for my current blog. I’m transferring over to the WordPress.org 2.7.1. I got a little nervous when the documentation said it was a quick 5-minute process. I worked for several hours last night to get it moved. I’m kind of a novice at moving blogs, but have a little knowledge about website structure and loading files.
My problem is that I had set up the new location to handle the same URL that I currently use (VolunteerYouthMinistry.com). However, I don’t want to transfer the domain until I know everything is working correctly and looks right. That was my problem. This morning I registered VolunteerYouthMinistryBlog.com and am using that. Everything worked flawlessly. The good news is now I can have the option of having a website and a blog with URL names that work well together. VolunteerYouthMinistryBlog.com is live, but not pretty. When it is, I’ll move VolunteerYouthMinistry.com to that location until I create a website.
I’m on my way! Now I just need to find a nice-looking template!
